Heartbeat Family
Zahid Ahmad was born in 1966. He first discovered his talent at a very
tender age of 10 years old. In 1978, he initiates his first album entitled “Degil” with
a group called Spilt Times. Later became the co-producer and rhythm arranger
for ZainalAbidin debut album “Hijau” that became best selling album in Malaysia and
co-producer and rhythm arranger for ZainalAbidin 2nd album “Gamal” that was
released world wide.
He has been holding down the drum throne countless times for the acclaimed
“PuteriGunungLedang the Musical” (PGLM3) at Istana Budaya. Played for Mawi
Latest album “Allah Habeebi”. In addition he played for Sultan Johor birthday with RTM
“Big Band Orchestra”. He also, opened his own Drum Academy called Zahid Ahmad
Drumworkssdn bhd.
As a renowned teacher, He has an education drum book published and our
in Malaysian music stores. He is now currently working on his solo project album and
is busy all year with international studio recordings. He has just recently finished
tracking in the studio for Malaysia’s very own AtiliaHarun’s upcoming single.
